Walker was found on the streets in the capital when she was a puppy and has been fostered in our home for the past six months. (She’s now about a year old, we think.) She gets along very well with our 1 ½ year old daughter, but she still enjoys chasing the cat! Walker is very sweet and loving with almost everyone, though she does have lots of energy. Sometimes she can become territorial and even aggressive when new people she does not know and trust come to the house, such as the pizza delivery man or someone passing by on the street. Walker loves to dig! She also likes to chew things, especially stuffed chew toys for dogs. She walks on a leash (though she will pull if she sees or smells something interesting), will sometimes come when called, sometimes sits or lays down when told, and knows to sleep on her “bed”. Walker would do well in a home with a lot of outdoor space for her to run around in, and with people who have time to help her to get her energy out. As far as other dogs go, she is generally okay with them. She has one particular dog that she enjoys playing with, but generally is more timid and submissive around other dogs than she is with people.
